Sydney Upgrades for Canadian Nationals!

Sydney McEachern had another great meet at the Canadian Nationals in Regina, Saskatchewan on May 24th – 26th. She stayed consistent through the entire meet finishing in 13th on the first day and then moving up to 10th on the second day. She still has one more year of competition before she graduates, I cannot wait to see what else she adds to her routines!

She performed her FTY on vault with a near stick landing but definitely adding height to this skill. She scored a 12.9 on the first day and 13.65 in event finals.

On bars she nailed her handstand positions and caught her high-flying jager with ease. Her final score was a 12.125.

Beam was exciting to watch. She competes a BHSP- layout to two feet landing as well as a side somi and front tuck. She stuck them all and finished with a near perfect landing on her double back. She scored a 12.125 in event finals.

Floor is always breath-taking to watch, but this time she was out to prove herself. She starts with a beautiful full in and ends this routine with a double pike! That is something you don’t see very often and it was done with stick finish! Sydney placed 8th on floor with a 13.225.

All of her routines have been uploaded on her personal website along with updates on final scores for the season. If you would like more information on Sydney, check out her website HERE.
